Privacy Policy

How Linkly collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data.

This page is a product-ready template. Review company details, contacts, and jurisdiction with counsel before production launch.

1. Data controller

The service operator is the company or individual entrepreneur that publishes Linkly. Replace this paragraph with the legal name, registration number, address, and support email before launch.

2. Data we process

We process account data such as login, email, password hash, timezone, subscription status, and security events.

We process link data such as titles, destination URLs, aliases, QR settings, custom domains, folders, and timestamps.

We process analytics data such as click time, referrer, approximate location, device class, browser, OS, bot signal, IP-derived metadata, and aggregated reports.

3. Why we process data

We use data to create and manage short links, secure accounts, prevent abuse, process subscriptions, provide analytics, support users, and improve reliability.

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with infrastructure, payment, email, analytics, and security providers only when needed to operate the service.

4. Retention

Links and analytics are stored for 2 years unless a shorter period is required by law, account deletion, or a product-specific setting.

Security logs, payment records, and legal records may be retained longer when required for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling, or legal obligations.

5. User rights

Users may request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of their personal data where applicable.

Some data may remain in backups, accounting records, abuse-prevention records, or aggregated analytics where deletion is not technically or legally immediate.

6. Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, token-based authentication, audit logging, and operational monitoring to protect the service.

No internet service is perfectly secure. Users should protect their credentials and report suspected account compromise promptly.
